The long-anticipated Whale season has finally kicked off in Esperance with the first Southern Right Whale with her calf spotted on our Lake Hillier+Cape Le Grand Scenic Flight.

Our Pilot Elise spotted the duo frolicking in Yokinup Bay, just west of Cape Arid. She also spotted a Great-White Shark and a large pod of dolphins in the area.

Between July and October every year the Recherche Archipelago in the Esperance region play host to hundreds of Southern Right, and Humpback Whales migrating along the coast as the head for warmer waters. With the crystal clear waters of the area, the whales are very easily spotted from our aircraft, and the best flight to see the most wildlife is the Lake Hillier+Cape Le Grand Scenic Flight which departs 3 times per day through the winter months, and 4 times per day in Summer.
